Morgue is an installation piece with series of 100-corpse toe tag. The audience is presented with a wall of corpse toe tags and each tag is filled with the Artist’s instances of death in the past.
This work is relatable to the concept of memento mori, which is a Latin saying that translates to ‘remember you will die’. In this installation the artist is projecting her thoughts of how she believes that there are many possibilities in the past that she could’ve died. She believes that in a different time line a part of her died in certain manner, and yet a part of her lives on until the present day.
